Saving an .xls as .csv

To save an Excel spreadsheet as a .csv file:

  1. With the desired spreadsheet open in Excel, click the File menu; then, select Save As.

The Save As dialog box appears.

  1. Browse to the location to which you would like to save your file.
  2. In the Save as type: drop-down list, select csv (comma delimited).
  3. Click Save.
